Glory Movie Was Great

The movie surprised me in that the white people were kinda mean even though the black people didn't have to be there. They wanted to be there for the country. They weren't even getting paid! Why were the white people so racist? (Look up People are People by Depeche Mode if you get the chance). Anyway, I learned that the whites were confused and messed up people who hated their own soldiers, yet wanted to keep a whole union together. There were very few people who actually accepted the African-Americans. This was not a hollywood thing, it was realistic. Other than that, I have nothing really of value to say about the movie other than the fighting scenes were mostly realistic. Now I just HAVE to say, the fighting was epic on the second day of watching where they were using bayonets like spears with awesome skill (that might have been hollywood to make it interesting) and also MORGAN FREEMAN IS AWESOME!!!

  1. I don't think that the end of the battle was realistic when they climbed the hill and the Confederates were waiting to shoot all of them. Also the first battle where it seemed as the Union didn't even kill one of the Confederate's men. How the regiment was treated I think was accurate but not the battles.

  2. I disagree that the white soldiers where shown as depicted, because in reality the white soldiers weren't really racist, only the soldiers from the boarder states really showed a sign of racist culture. The whites soldiers also didn't hate their soldiers, if you mean the racist fact than yes some were mean, but if you are speaking of the training that is really how the military works. They want you to not only fear your enemies, but to feel the grip of fear without the full risks of war.
